10 Mar 2007: Girl in NSW dies from brown snake bite.

A nine-year-old girl has died in the northern NSW town of Rocky River, south of Armidale, after being bitten by a brown snake. She was bitten on the foot while picking corn in the vegetable patch at her family home. She returned to the house saying thet something had bitten her, and collapsed soon after. She was taken to Armidale Hospital in a critical condition but died about two hours after being bitten.
