This section provides information on the most clinically significant venomous animals in Australia. Each entry has general information, as well as clinical information on signs and symptoms of envenomation, treatment, and (where appropriate), antivenoms and sequelae.

Unknown Envenomation

This area contains a guide to identifying the species or group to which the animal belongs, and is intended for use when the patient is unsure of the species or even type of animal which bit or stung them.

Clinical Assessment

This section provides detailed information on the health areas of major clinical importance in cases of envenomation.

Clinical Management

This gives broad information on the management of the envenomed patient.

Antivenom

This section contains information about Australian antivenoms, their composition and administration, as well as information on serum sickness.
