Clotting studies
- INR/PT
- APTT
- ACT
- D-dimer
- X-FDP
- fibrinogen
- In remote areas where sophisticated clotting tests may be unavailable, a 20-minute whole blood clotting test can be performed.
Enzyme assay
- creatine kinase
Urinalysis
- haemoglobin
- myoglobin
FBE
- WCC is usually only mildly elevated. A significantly raised WCC may indicate other pathology.
