what does this mean?  First Aid for envenomation by this species  show the distribution of these species

The ratfish inhabits deeper waters off the coast, often being caught in trawling nets. It is a large fish, growing to half a metre in length. It has a dorsal spine which is correspondingly large, with a pair of venom glands at its base. The size of the spine means that the injury it causes is often quite severe.
