Paralysis Tick
First aid consists of finding and removing the tick, and supporting the patient until antivenom can be administered. The tick should be levered out using a pair of curved scissors.
If the patient becomes ill, the pressure-immobilisation technique (see below) should be used in order to inhibit the movement of venom.
A careful search should be made for other attached ticks.
