Trinh, Kiem Xuan

Dr Kiem Xuan Trinh is the Program Manager on Snake Venom Research and Snake Bite Treatment at the Ministry of Health, Viet Nam. He visited Australian Venom Research Unit in 2004 as part of an Australian visit that also included Venom Supplies in South Australia and CSL Ltd in Victoria. Dr Kiem has developed an antivenom for Naja kaouthia (cobra) bites for use in Viet Nam, and has trialled this antivenom at Cho Ray hospital in the southern part of Viet Nam. He is interested in production of antivenoms to reduce costs and improve accessibility for Vietnamese snakebite victims.
