Warrell, David

Professor David Warrell is Professor of Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases and Founding Director of the Centre for Tropical Medicine (Emeritus), University of Oxford. He has conducted research in California, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Kenya, Tanzania, Thailand, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Papua New Guinea, Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia and Peru. Professor Warrell is Editor of the Oxford Textbook of Medicine, Essential Malariology, and Expedition Medicine. In May 1997, he was appointed as an Honorary Senior Associate of the Australian Venom Research Unit and is now a Honorary Principal Fellow.
