External characteristics, biting apparatus and venom yield of snake; symptoms and post-mortem appearances in laboratory animals and sheep after subcutaneous and intravenous injection of venom; in vitro coagulation and haemolysis studies; venom has a coagulant action, contains haemorrhagin, haemolysin and neurotoxin and has a stimulant action on isolated guinea-pig smooth muscle.
