Abstract

Experiments with a cobra antivenene; experiments with an anti- venene prepared against the venom of a large unidentified Australian snake gave some cross-protection against cobra venom; a LD of (red-bellied) black snake venom for rabbits was neutralised by that snake's serum; strychnine treatment might prolong but not save life; attempts to estimate MLD of cobra venom for man and the amount of antivenene required to neutralize it.
