Gives Mueller's views about the treatment of snake bite; quotes Fayrer's opinion of strychnine as an antidote to snake poison; reviews results in 37 cases of snake bite treated with strychnine injections - 10 of Dr. Banerjee's cases, 11 cases published in the Indian Medical Gazette and 17 cases treated at dispensaries in the Bhopawar Agency; overall case fatality rate of 32.4%; strychnine cannot be considered a certain cure but should still be used.
