Abstract

Experiments using the venom glands of a tiger snake to show that venom taken orally is innocuous; treatment of snake bite - recommends immediately seizing the bitten part with one's teeth, suction, application of a ligature, incision or excision and further suction; Tasmanian aborigines, their treatment of snake bite; stimulants of value - alcohol to the point of intoxication or liquor ammoniae; details the way to use liquor ammoniae.
