Peter Hobbins

Masters Student

Peter is currently writing a thesis on pioneering Australian venom researcher, Dr Charles Kellaway. This forms part of his Master of Medical Humanities degree, and is co-supervised by Associate Professor Alison Bashford from Sydney University and Dr Ken Winkel from AVRU. As an undergraduate at Melbourne University, Peter completed an arts degree in English literature plus a science honours degree in pharmacology, studying snake venoms under Associate Professor Struan Sutherland and Professor Jim Angus. Working mainly as a medical writer while he studies part time, Peter is hoping eventually to undertake a PhD on the history of venom research in Australia.
